The following scenarios are currently available for your school/group to take part in:

Aimed at 14/15 year olds (Year 10) this meets the National Curriculum for Citizenship Key Stage 4. It has however been successfully used with older and younger students as well as adult groups.
Consider the plight of the youngster who wants a mobile phone, but doesn’t understand the complexities of the small print or the teenager who buys a computer game over the Internet, changes their mind and is not aware that they have a cooling-off period.
Contracts; buying and receiving gifts; buying age restricted products; buying over the internet; changing your mind about an item that has been bought; buying faulty goods, buying sale items, buying incorrectly priced items and much more, Credit and debt; cooling-off periods; refund, exchange and repair; counterfeit goods and much more is all covered in the “Consumer Rights and Responsibilities “ event.

Aimed at 16-18 year olds. Again, older and younger students as well as adult groups have successfully used this.
Many people today have financial problems, which they do not find easy to talk about. Some people even think if they ignore it that the problem will go away!
“Money Matters” covers such subjects as opening a bank account; credit and debt; credit scoring; credit cards; debit cards; repayment plans; guarantors; Consumer Credit Act 1974 and much more.

Aimed at 15-16 year olds. Again, older and younger students as well as adult groups have successfully used this.
This scenario covers subjects such as ASBO’s, anti social behaviour, peer pressure, the effects of drinking, bullying, why some products have age restrictions and much more.

These resources relate to the “Rights and Responsibilities” scenario and the resources have been translated into the Lithuanian language.
We have been working with a school in Lithuania with a view to them participating in their own “talkingshop” activities!
